Ian Telfer

MC (Conference day 2)

Ian Telfer is Partnerships and Engagement manager at Otago Regional Council. He cut his teeth in local government leading the communications and engagement on Dunedin’s major climate adaptation project, South Dunedin Future.


Ian is a former broadcaster who spent 10 years on the road as a Radio New Zealand news correspondent and presenter. His career has also traversed physics, gardening, university administration and community activism. He is interested in just about everything.
