He uri nō Ngāti Tahu-Ngāti Whaoa, Tūhourangi, me Te Arawa; ā, ko Ngāti Pāhauwera, Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāti Tūwharetoa, me Ngāi Tahu ki Murihiku hoki ōna iwi.

Lara is an ASAP | RUA Board member, helping to establish and embed a waka hourua structure and model for our network. Lara brings over a decade of experience in Tiriti-based governance, climate adaptation, and systems change. As Kaiwhakahaere o E Oho! Awakening Aotearoa and former Chair of Papa Pounamu, she has led national collaboration, policy development, and research to advance community-led and Māori-centred adaptation. Lara contributes to ASAP as a champion for Tiriti-based, ethical, and future-focused professional practice. This ethic is captured in Te Kete Matatika and will be shared with conference attendees at the related ‘Waka Hourua in Practice’ workshop on Thursday 20 August at 15:30-16:30.
